I can't seem to stop smiling! I am just back from a Paradisiac retreat in  Kaua'i, and the very last hour before headed to the airport, I swam out in the big blue waters again, hoping to at last meet the dolphins. For years, I've felt called by their joyous magic. As I was floating in the big blue, feeling at once elated and exhausted, I SENSED they were close. It's hard to explain, but the water felt different, almost seductive, like a loving embrace, like a womb...But with little time and a long swim back, I had to leave. Then, odd breathing noises, and suddenly shark-like fins were circling me. I prayed it was dolphins. It was! Less than 3 meters away, a few of them came up to look me in the eye. There were hundreds in the water. Some did double spins in air, as if they were ecstatic too. I feel so blessed by this gift. And assured in my kinship with the natural, wonder-full world around me.
